The Acceptable Use Policy mentioned below applies to https://qa-webapp.maya.mobile

This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) explains what you can and can’t do when using Maya’s Services and Platform (as defined in the Terms & Conditions). It applies to every Maya customer.

This AUP forms part of our Terms & Conditions, which you agreed to when you signed up. By using Maya, you agree to follow this Policy. You acknowledge that you are solely responsible for ensuring your use of the Services complies with all applicable local, state, federal, and international laws and regulations. If you’re not sure whether something you want to do is allowed under this AUP, contact us at support@maya.net before proceeding — however, any guidance we provide does not constitute legal advice, and you remain fully responsible for your compliance with all applicable laws.

We can update this AUP at any time. We’ll post any changes at maya.net/legal/aup and give you at least 10 days’ notice of material updates. Continued use of the Services means you accept the updated Policy.

What you must comply with

When accessing Maya’s Services or Platform, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years old, or if you are between 13 and 17 years old, have obtained verifiable parental or legal guardian consent to use the Services in accordance with applicable law, including the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) where applicable.
  • Use the Services only for lawful purposes.
  • Keep your account credentials secure and not share them with others.
  • Comply with all applicable local, state, federal, and international laws, regulations, and rules related to your use of the Services, including but not limited to telecommunications regulations, data protection laws, export control laws, and consumer protection laws.
  • Comply with the rules of any roaming network you access through Maya.

What you must not do

Illegal or harmful activity

You must not use Maya to:

  • Break any law or assist others in doing so.
  • Commit fraud or any other criminal activity.
  • Impersonate another person, hide your identity, or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity.
  • Harass, threaten, intimidate, stalk, abuse, or harm any other person — including Maya staff.
  • Create a risk to public safety, national security, or interfere with a law enforcement investigation.

Harmful content

You must not use Maya to transmit, store, or distribute content that:

  • Constitutes, depicts, or promotes child sexual abuse material, bestiality, or non-consensual sexual acts.
  • Is excessively violent, incites violence, or constitutes hate speech.
  • Defames any person or violates anyone’s privacy.
  • Promotes illegal drugs, illegal gambling, or illegal trafficking.
  • Is otherwise unlawful or solicits unlawful conduct.

Network abuse

Maya’s Unlimited eSIM plans (including any add-ons such as Global Cruise Connectivity) are designed for individual travelers using data on the move. To keep the network fair for everyone, you must not:

  • Use the eSIM as a fixed home or office broadband replacement.
  • Commercially redistribute the Service — for example, running a commercial hotspot that sells connectivity to others.
  • Run automated, unattended processes (bots, bulk transfers, automated backups) that generate sustained data usage without a person actively using the device.
  • Use peer-to-peer (P2P) file sharing or torrenting in ways that significantly degrade the network for others.

Fair use: We may apply network management measures (such as deprioritisation during congestion) to usage patterns that are inconsistent with normal individual mobile use. This won’t affect typical streaming, browsing, or calling.

Security and technical integrity

You must not:

  • Attempt to probe, scan, test, or exploit any vulnerability in Maya’s Platform or Services without our written permission.
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any of the software used to provide the Services.
  • Upload or transmit viruses, malware, ransomware, or any other malicious code.
  • Use automated tools — including bots, spiders, or scrapers — to access the Platform without our permission. This includes using Platform data to train or develop AI systems or models.
  • Disrupt or interfere with the operation or security of the Services, Platform, or any connected networks or systems.

Account misuse

You must not:

  • Register using a false name or use an invalid or unauthorized payment method.
  • Transfer, sell, or share access to your account or plan with others — the Services are for your personal use only.
  • Resell, sublicense, or commercially redistribute the Services to third parties unless you have a separate written reseller or distribution agreement executed by an authorized representative of Maya Mobile LTD.
  • Use IP addresses not assigned to you by Maya in connection with the Services.
  • Access or attempt to access another user’s account.

Promotions & referrals

Any credits, discounts, promotions, or referral rewards offered by Maya are intended for genuine customers making real purchases. You must not:

  • Create fake accounts or use fictitious identities to participate in promotions or referral programmes.
  • Exploit, manipulate, or otherwise undermine the fairness or integrity of any Maya promotion or referral scheme.
  • Use automated means to generate or claim promotional rewards.

Maya reserves the right to disqualify any participant, void any rewards, and close any account found to be abusing promotions or referral programmes.

Intellectual property

You must not use Maya to download, upload, distribute, or otherwise deal in any content that infringes someone else’s copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property rights — unless you have the right to do so.

Competitive use

You must not use the Platform or Services to develop or provide any product or service that competes with Maya.

Enforcement

If you breach this AUP, we may take any of the following steps — immediately and without prior warning:

  • Suspend or terminate your account and access to the Services.
  • Remove any offending content.
  • Report the activity to law enforcement or relevant authorities.
  • Take legal action to recover losses.

Where your account is suspended or terminated for an AUP breach or suspected breach, you won’t be entitled to any refund of fees paid, and you will remain liable for all outstanding fees and charges incurred up to the date of termination. Maya Mobile LTD. reserves the right to pursue all available legal remedies for damages resulting from your breach.
